Low Hold Finder

🛠️ Tools & Features

The Low Hold Finder identifies games where the combined juice (vig) across books is at its lowest, giving you the closest thing to a fair bet.

What is Hold?

Normal bet:
Team A: -110 (bet $110 to win $100)
Team B: -110 (bet $110 to win $100)
Total hold: $220 wagered to pay out $210 = 4.5% vig

Low hold bet: Team A: +100 at FanDuel (bet $100 to win $100) Team B: -102 at DraftKings (bet $102 to win $100) Total hold: $202 wagered to pay out $200 = 1% vig

Lower hold = less going to the house = more fair for you. [/example]

Why It Matters

  • Promotions: Many sportsbooks offer "risk-free bets" or "bet and get" promos. Low-hold games let you use those promos with minimal expected loss.
  • Hedging: When you need to guarantee a profit by betting both sides, low hold minimizes the cost.
  • Bonus conversion: Low-hold markets convert bonuses to cash most efficiently.

How to Use It

  1. Open the Low Hold page
  2. Filter by your available sportsbooks
  3. Sort by lowest combined hold
  4. Use for promo conversion, hedging, or general low-cost betting

Low hold doesn't mean the bet has edge. It means the vig is low. This is most useful for promo abuse and hedging, not for finding +EV opportunities (use the Screener for that). Learn more about vig in our Vig glossary entry.
