SharpWire ("we," "us," or "our") operates the SharpWire sports analytics platform at sharpwire.io(the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information provided through your authentication method (email/password or Google OAuth via Supabase Auth).

Subscription & Payment Data

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive and store your subscription tier, Stripe customer ID, and transaction metadata (e.g., plan selected, subscription status).

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage analytics through Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how the Service is used and to improve performance. This may include page views, feature usage patterns, device type, browser type, and general geographic region.

User-Generated Content

If you use features like the Parlay Builder, Bet Tracker, or AI Analysis, we store the data you input (parlay legs, tracked bets, analysis requests) to provide the Service. AI analysis requests are sent to third-party AI providers (see Section 3).

Notification Preferences

If you opt in to email signal alerts, we store your notification preferences including selected sports and minimum signal strength thresholds.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • To process subscriptions and manage your account
  • To send signal alert emails you have opted into
  • To generate AI-powered game analyses on your behalf
  • To monitor Service performance and fix issues
  • To communicate important updates about the Service or your account
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SharpWire:

  • Supabase — Authentication and database hosting (stores account data and application data)
  • Stripe — Payment processing for subscriptions
  • Vercel — Application hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS SES) — Email delivery for signal alerts
  • Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, and Google AI — AI analysis generation. When you request an AI analysis, relevant game data (odds, signals, team names) is sent to these providers. No personally identifiable information is included in AI requests.
  • The Odds API — Sports odds data source (no user data is shared with this provider)

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL databases with encryption at rest. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication session management (Supabase Auth cookies). Vercel Analytics collects anonymized, privacy-friendly usage data without using cookies for tracking purposes.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

6. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & Export: You can view your account data on the Account page. Pro-tier users can export their bet history and odds data as CSV.
  • Correction: You can update your email and notification preferences from your Account page.
  • Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
  • Opt-out of emails: You can disable signal alert emails at any time from your Account page or by using the unsubscribe link in any alert email.
  • Cancel subscription: You can cancel your paid subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal accessible from your Account page.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, financial records).

Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
