Middle

📖 Glossary

Definition

A middle is when you bet both sides of a spread or total at different numbers, creating a window where both bets can win simultaneously.

Bet 1: Lakers -3.5 (at FanDuel)
Bet 2: Celtics +5.5 (at DraftKings)

If Lakers win by 4 or 5: BOTH bets win. Any other score: one wins, one loses (small juice loss). [/example]

The middle gives you a "free shot" at winning both while your downside is only the juice on one side.

NFL games landing on key numbers (3, 7, 10) make middles more likely to hit. Look for 2+ point gaps between books on spreads near these numbers.
