DFS Lineup Building with the Edge Finder

🛠️ Tools & Features

The DFS Edge Finder identifies value, but building a winning lineup requires combining value with game theory. Here's the process.

Step 1: Start with High-Edge Players

Sort the Edge Finder by highest edge.
Your core players should come from the top of this list.
These are players priced too low relative to their expected output.

Step 2: Consider Ownership

  • High ownership + high edge = safe (everyone has them)
  • Low ownership + high edge = leverage (differentiates your lineup)
  • High ownership + low edge = avoid (overvalued by the field)

For tournaments (GPPs), prioritize low-ownership edges. For cash games, high-edge regardless of ownership.

Step 3: Game Stacking

Pair players from the same high-scoring game:

  • QB + WR from the same team (passing TD helps both)
  • QB + opposing WR (shootout benefits both sides)
  • Bring-back: Add a player from the opposing team

Step 4: Salary Management

Salary cap: $50,000
Don't: Spend $48,000 on stars + $2,000 on garbage
Do: Balance spending — leave $500-$1,000 remaining
The Edge Finder helps find "salary savers" — cheap players
with high projected value relative to their cost.

Step 5: Correlation Check

Make sure your lineup "tells a story." If you have a QB, pair him with his receivers. If you have a running back, you probably don't also want the opposing defense.
