How to Execute an Arbitrage Bet
🛠️ Tools & FeaturesFinding an arb is the easy part. Executing it properly — and avoiding account restrictions — requires technique.
Step-by-Step Execution
- Both sportsbook apps open and logged in
- Pre-load both bet slips with the correct amounts
- Place the LESS LIQUID side first (smaller book, or the one likely to move)
- Immediately place the second side
- Verify both bets were accepted at the expected odds
- Screenshot both confirmations
⚠️ If one side gets rejected or the odds change, you're exposed on a one-sided bet. NEVER place the second bet blindly — always confirm the first was accepted at the expected price before proceeding.
Timing Matters
Avoiding Account Limits
Sportsbooks don't like arbers. Here's how to stay under the radar:
- •Round your bet amounts ($150 instead of $147.32)
- •Don't always bet the exact same markets
- •Mix in some recreational bets
- •Spread action across multiple books
- •Don't withdraw immediately after winning
When to Pass on an Arb
- •If the return is under 1% — not worth the effort and risk of a rejected bet
- •If you haven't verified both sides are still available
- •If it requires a book where your limits are already reduced
The Arbitrage Finder shows the exact bet amounts for each side, pre-calculated. Just verify both prices are still live before executing. Read Arbitrage Finder overview for how the tool identifies opportunities.
